Restore a playlist from a snapshot
How to restore a YouTube playlist from an earlier backup.
A snapshot can be used to rebuild a playlist only from entries that still have usable YouTube video IDs and can be inserted by the connected account. The restore process should create a new playlist, preserve the saved order, report skipped entries, and leave the historical snapshot unchanged.

Choose the snapshot
Select the scan version whose order and entries represent the playlist state you want to reconstruct.
Validate every saved video ID
Separate playable entries from deleted, private, restricted, duplicate, or otherwise non-insertable items before starting the write.
Create a new destination playlist
Use a clear name and privacy setting so the restored copy remains separate from the current original playlist.
Insert entries in saved order
Process the validated IDs in sequence and record each successful playlist item created by YouTube.
Report partial results
Show inserted, skipped, unavailable, and failed entries explicitly. A restore should never claim completion when some saved videos could not be added.
